Montgomery / Aurora Illinois - 26 year old homeless woman found dead in Sonic America's Drive-In Restaurant washroom

Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old Aurora woman who was found dead inside the restroom of a Montgomery restaurant Friday.

Montgomery police Chief Daniel Meyers said officers responded to Sonic, 1220 Ogden Blvd., around 7:15 p.m for reports of a woman not breathing inside the restroom. When they arrived, police found Ashley McFarland, 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, dead inside the restroom.

She was pronounced dead on the scene around 7:30 p.m., Meyers said. The investigation into McFarland's death is ongoing. An autopsy has been scheduled with the Kendall County coroner's office.
