Police are warning residents about a pair of robberies reported earlier this month on the Near West Side, just blocks away from the United Center.
In both of the robberies, two men have approached victims, produced a “small pointed object” and robbed them of their personal items, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The first robbery occurred in the 2300 block of West Madison about 9:30 p.m. May 13, police said. The other was reported in the 2100 block of West Madison about 11 p.m. May 18.
The suspects are described as two BLACK men between 18 and 21 years old, weighing 140 to 150 pounds, police said.
