Two people were killed, and at least eight others were wounded by Negro gunfire on the Chicago's South and West Side since Saturday.
One man was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting in Grand Crossing just before midnight.
The men, both 23, were standing near 75th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue when two gunman approached on foot and opened fire, police said. The gunmen fled.
One man was shot several times in the torso, head and neck, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other man was shot in the back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition. Early Sunday, he was listed in serious condition, police said.
A 22-year-old man was fatally shot shortly before 1 p.m. in the 7200 block of South Green Street in the Englewood neighborhood, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
