Shots fired by police in Beautiful Chicago's Englewood Community

An officer fired shots Monday night in the Englewood neighborhood but no one was hit by the gunfire.

The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Laflin Avenue. Police are questioning at least two people in connection with the incident.

A spokesman for the Chicago Police Department said no one was injured though it appeared at least one officer was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Officers blocked 62nd Street and searched nearby gangways and vacant lots.
